PERTH – 17 MAY 2016 – Local property maintenance provider, ACE+, have donated 18 iPads to Durham Road School, an independent all ages school that caters to more than 150 students with disabilities and special needs.

“We know the important role that Durham Road School plays in our local WA community and we are thrilled to be able to provide education equipment that supports the long-term development of the students,” said Matt Johnson, ACE+ Managing Director.

iPads have fast become a revolutionary device for children with special needs improving communication skills, providing access to specifically-designed applications and allowing parents and helping teachers and parents to better understand their children.

“Durham Road School’s ethos is ‘Kids Come First’ and these iPads fill a real genuine need in our students’ learning environment, said Sharon Whiteford, Manager – Corporate Services, Durham Road School.  “The iPads will contribute to a much richer learning experience by allowing us to deliver the curriculum and access speciality programs in much more fun and interactive ways.”

The donation coincides with the launch of ACE+’s community bus initiative, which supports Durham and other local clubs and not-for-profit groups by providing a free-of-charge bus for hire.
